Job Description
- Day-to-day operational support for server and storage infrastructures.
- Monitoring and managing all installed systems and infrastructure and ensure highest availability
- Establish, configure, test and maintain operating systems
- The Setting, installing testing and maintaining operating systems
- Maintain the hardware inventory
- Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
- Performs storage and server data backup, data migration and disaster recovery operations.
- Performs operating system upgrades and track system licensing.
- Configures security settings or access permissions for groups and individuals.
- Provides technical support (help desk) to users by troubleshooting problems related to system.
- Documents procedures and troubleshooting procedures related to systems/hardware.
- Support the configuration and maintenance of office and/or production software, adjunct support and/or utility software, i.e. Virus malware protection, office application suites and/or application software.
- Oversee on the Server/system, Linux-based server/system and Virtualised Servers. Firm understanding of infrastructure related software, including Microsoft Operating system (Desktop/Server), Microsoft Exchange online, O365, VMWare, virtualization technologies and anti-virus, cloud computing like AWS, Azure
- Adherence to company and IT policies and procedures.
- Emergency escalations point for major issues, including after hours and weekend
- Any other task assigned by customer
